Lee with all respect, he must have been doing something to attract the vosa mans attention, i drive HGV's so i do have a high opinion of the VOSA or the way they target people or certain trucks and cars.

so im confussed, will a decat of just my center section give me any noticable gain? Also where is the best place to get one if i dont want too pay too much?

Well I got a decat fitted in the end... Won't be much trouble come MOT time

My worry would be... If i had a crash and killed some body, the car had to be taken away pronto because the car got majorly mangled, they discover something which invalidates the mot and in turn your insurance. That'd have me crapping my pants and finding the cheapest ticket to spain. I personally really can't see it's worth the hassle.

I dont know that you can invalidate an MOT can you? As it only represents that your car was road-worthy on that specific hour when it was tested.

To invalidate your MOT would suggest that anyone who had an accident and was found to have a blown bulb, split CV gaitor, fuse blow in the horn etc. could have their insurance revoked, which i dont think would be the case.

I agree thay you could invalidate your insurance by not having a road legal car though.
