'Deisel' noise after starting warm engine

Hi Guys. My first post on this forum, been reading for a couple of months now, and you all seem like a helpful lot so just need a little advice

My cupra has starting making an odd noise after I have started the engine while warm.
For example I drive home from work (30 min drive), go back out 10 mins later and start it up, and I get this odd noise for a while. Best I can descibe it is like a deisel engine sound, which its not (1.8T). Doesn't happen from a cold start btw.
Done a search a came across a few threads mentioning the carbon canister, but I was aware of this sound, not this new deisely one.

Any Ideas? No faults have come up and still drives smooth as ever.

Mine does this also but all the time, for a few seconds after starting i think it is the starter motor could be wrong though.

Starts perfectly everytime tho'. As I say I only hear it when the engine has been restarted after a trip. Really annoying as there are not faults coming up and otherwise runs fine.

Have you swapped your TDI badge for a CupraR badge.........
