Diesel fuel filter change

I have recently had the fuel filter changed in my car by a garage, I was going to do so myself but from what I’ve read the fuel system needs primed by software after the filter had been changed, has anyone done this before or had any issues? I’m driving a 2014 Leon 1.6tdi but I imagine it will be a similar set up across the range.

You do not state so much information about the engine code you have but... maybe one or two bits of information about this matter will help you.

The 'Drain fuel tank' could be done too with some key cycles to prime the fuel system (is a lesser geek way but doable). Done it on my 2.0Tdi PD (BKD engine code) several times without needing to plug VCDS.
