Diesel Leak

Hi all, i have recently noticed a small diesel leak coming from under my ibiza.
There is a radiator/intercooler looking type thing that the that i think the leak is coming from. I have taken a plastic protector thing off from where the fuel line goes into it and the diesel is dripping from there. Could anyone tell me what this is and what is does? Also there is another fuel line coming from the tank that looks like it goes straight into the engine. Where is this going to?
Will it be ok to run the car for a few days until i can get it to my mechanic?
Oh and i should say that my car is a 2006 Tdi sport.

The "radiator" underneath is a fuel cooler. The fuel line comes from the tank to the cooler, then to the fuel filter under the bonnet. The other line is a fuel return from the engine back to the tank.

I've just replaced the lines in mine, easy enough job, you just have to be a bit careful with the connections as not to break them. I would think it more likely that the line is leaking rather than the cooler.

Seat Part nos:

Cooler - 6Q0 201 895 B
Fuel lines - 6Q0 200 059D (this is for both lines - Feed and Return from tank) actually 3 pipes as you have 2 for the feed.

As long as it's not leaking badly it should be ok for a couple of days.

thanks a lot shunky it is just a small drip a the moment but i am keeping my eye on it.
Another thing that i have just noticed it that i cannot hear the fuel pump start when i turn on the ignition on. Before i noticed the leak it was a noticeable sound but this has stopped now. Do you think this could have something to do with it?
My last car was a Mk2 Golf Gti and that had a pump on the fuel tank, will my ibiza have the same pump?
I have been trying to look under the car but i cant really see much as i can get the jack to go up high enough.

ok then i have a simular problem only my leaks alot worst its dripping from the top of my engine all the way down the the sump then pooring on the floor i dunno wot to do :s
