I ordered my 0805 of gear best, how's the delivery on these?

My fuse tap and use lead are all installed, just waiting on the camera and off we go

Mine took about 2 weeks to arrive (once it came into stock but I knew it was out of stock when I ordered)

I paid £78 on amazon, the 0805 without internal memory but with GPS. Also bought a Mobius for the rear window (my intension) £58 from Joovuu. :)

There were alot of sellers selling the 0805 but when people got them they were the lower spec 0803.

Joovuu Is definately one to avoid for the 0805 as they were guilty of the above.

I believe i have the correct 0805, i had read about the miss selling. Joovuu are Mobius specialists more so. Found their service fab.

Has anyone ever had an issue with the add-a-circuit piggyback fuse holders? I've tried 2 of these now (different sellers on ebay) and still can't get my dashcam up and running. I get a voltage readout on my multimeter across the fuse socket which protects the 12v cigarette lighter circuit I'm piggybacking on but nothing across the other socket. I've made sure I have the right orientation of the piggyback holder. I'm at a bit of a loss to be honest.

Definately got the live connected correctly and everything earthed properly? I followed Terry's steps in post 1 and it worked straight away.

Got mine ready to do, as above make sure it's grounded to earth (neutral)

Continuity ok through the added side of the fuse holder?

Hi

I ordered the 0805 off gear best with the code.

Took about 2 weeks and it was posted from the Netherlands. Still got stopped at import for tax. Worked out an extra 24 euro so wasn't that bad.

Am I right in thinking this model doesn't have a shock sensor when in park mode to start recording when knocked?

Amazon took longer to get me the USB cable, memory stick and step down. Ordered on the 7th and arrived on the 28th. Never got the piggyback fuse either so just waiting on this now.

My 0805 has g sensor setting and motion detection, maybe this can be used as parking mode...

Why did you have to pay import tax within the EU?

Goods were paid for in US. Gearbest is a US company. I thought they had a work around shipping it from there

Rayman

but its shipped from the netherlands which is within the eu? so surely when shipping from the us to the netherlands ya would have thought it would have been paid for then

0805 doesn't have parking mode. The g sensor is just to set set the level to auto protect a file.

Motion detect can be used when parked (needs permanent live) but should be turned off for normal recording.

It's shipped from China..... They use post NL for shipping so it comes via the Netherlands.

There should be no customs on orders coming into the UK under £135.

No customs duty under £135 but VAT on goods over £15 then probably an inflated handling fee.

Thanks for replies chris and kev. I'm thinking it might be the ground I'm using. Is there a knack to getting the side panel of the dash off so I can use the screw in terry's original post?
