Mines been going since ive had the car though, the old owner must of abused it, but its done very well 1.4 years of Stage 2 driving

Just need it to hold out till Febuary so i can get my LSD and then get the SMF Kit and LSD fitted at same time

Not a total loss then I guess, still £100.00 is a good deal of money, could have gone towards bushes or something.............

Hi everyone, well here is a situation, my car is a 2008 2.0TFSI petrol Seat FR that has right now 105.000KM.
I purchased the car from a AUDI mechanic.
Recently I started hearing a knocking sound from my car in the transmission area when the car is stationary in neutral.
When I press the clutch in the knocking sound stops, when i let the clutch go it continues.
I always heard it before from time to time but now its became annoying now that I have BSH Engine Mounts.
Which means the knocking sounds louder in the cabin.
When I turn off the engine after driving very hard or aggressive. the car shuts of horrible it gitters and shuts off.
But if i shut it off with the cluch in it shots of a lot more better.

Now the Mechanic told me that maybe its The clutch that has worn out. (I was new to driving standard so i might have screwed the cluch my self).
but he did say that the clutch, flywheel and presure plate was new, and that it was originally for a TDI car FR but he put it in my car which is a petrol car, my question is could it be that i am hearing this sound because its not the right clutch kit ? I really dont want a SMF because I heard the clutch will be harder to press and I am surly going to hear noise and rattles.
At this point i am so fed up I am thinking on switching back to brand new OEM engine mounts not to hear any noise.
I am thinking to purchase a new LUK DMF from ECS Tuning website, but this seems like its going to be a pricey job, being that the mechanic said that If i change it i rather change everything.
please let me know what you guys think.

Thanks in advance.

do you really need a SMF for stage 1 or 2 ? I mean is it even worth it ? I really dont want the SMF because I hear there will be a lot of rattle. my DMF is now chattering like crazy, and i am about to go for a new flywheel but i havent decided yet if its the SMF or the DMF, I really like my comfort.

I heard the Light SMF is more quite but where can i get a light SMF ?

Thanks.

SMF
Pros
Very hard to brake
Wont need replacing everytime you replace clutch
RPM Picks up alot quicker
Cons
Noisy (More so on a TDI)
Pedal is heavy

Helix Motorsport and SACHS make these for the 02Q Gearbox

Silent SMF
Pros
Silent Design like a DMF but better
RPM Picks up quicker than DMF,but slower than Non-Silent SMF
Cons
Heavier than a normal SMF,Lighter than a DMF (Pro or con you work it out)

Southbend Clutches make these for the O2Q Gearbox (Ive got one of these just not fitted yet)

DMF
Pros
Pedal is very light
Not Noisy (Unless its bust)
Cons
They Brake Easily
They Brake Easily
They Brake Easily
Need replacing when clutch is replaced
