Do intake systems void factory warranty?

You probably can't find a clear answer because there isn't one.
If you put an intake on and your electric windows stop working then they aren't going to refuse the work, but if they can in any way relate it to a part you've fitted then don't be surprised to find the fault is no longer covered under warranty.

The answer is really simple.
It does void warranty.
Everything that is not original factory part in engine bay voids warranty. Even if it has nothing to do with (for example engine blow up).
But a lot decisions are made by the dealers only, so some might look things a lot through fingers and some not. Thats the only difference.
Tip: if you service your Seat @ seat dealer and you want to keep the warranty on, uninstall enginebay mods before, because they will take photo on each maintenance especially if there is something in there that does not belong.
Ref: my friend lost a battle of a blown engine with only 28000km on the clock.
He had installed forge dump valve and thats it. NO WARRANTY, because engine modded.

But it's not that clear cut, the warranty covers more than just the engine, and as said previously if it's something that can be related to the fault in any way then of course they will use this to get out of doing the repair under warranty, but it won't void the entire warranty on the car, you'd still get an interior trim fault sorted if you had a forge dump valve fitted for instance.
Yes, ofcourse. The warranty works like you said. But enne bar mods Could void warranty from entire powertrain area but NOT interior or paint warranty.
Common sense plays a big part. Sometimes dealers can just be arse holes but on other occasions they just have to cover their own back. Which dealer wants to end up with a £10k bill because they can't justify a warranty claim on a standard engine or gearbox failing with no outside influences?
