do mk3 door mirror`s fold inwards?

can you guys confirm to me that mirrors on a mk3 will fold in as and when needed! i just got a stubby mirror and it appears to be seized and when i told the idiot i got it off he said he has had 3 cupra`s and not one of them has folding mirrors. who is right please? you know what i mean by folding? you can physically get hold of the mirror body and push it flush to the window??

I don't think so they are sprung loaded though to withstand impact

yeah they are spring loaded so that when they do hit something they will fold inwards and stay there until you pull them out again.! its the same as the mk2`s, after a while they seize up if you spray um with wd or similar.

on car they will with some weight to help save mirror damage but i wouldn't wanna try with them off the car as they are not really designed to easily
