Do turbos get better over time??

Hi boys & girls ,
I'v had my big turbo kit (IHI) since febuary now and in the past week or so she is pulling harder and smoother than ever before ( even though the weather is hotter?) .
A long time ago i read that a turbo that is well "run in" will out perform a brand new one , is this true? and if so will this be the bloody fantastic thing happening to mine ?

Like most things mechanical, once they have bedded in they will work at there optimum. (lucky git) bet she pulls like a train.

By the way where'd you get those rear lights?

Yea she pulls well enough to make the wife scream , the lights are from potn.com they are the ultra LED ones ( tint em tho or they almost look like lexus lights )

if anything i think the lag feels better... theres proberly no difference but it feels like less energy is required to get it going.

you do get used to the power level though...

I'v learnt that 3rd, 4th, and 5th i move between 5000 and 6000 rpm she pulls like a train and i can now brake alot later nowadays , but all this said she DEF pulls harder than before.

Caveo, I'm sorry to sound negative but i still can't understand how 1.2 bar at Red line equates to 320 bhp. What did JBS say when it under performed at the last RR.

My old K04 felt alot tighter after it had been rebuilt.

More than a co-incidence that BOTH turbos I bought and had setup by Star both blew their seals with only low mileage ... ?

hmmm,most rally teams replace the turbo regularly as they lose there edge,my tdo5 16g cracked the exhaust housing over time and lost 30bhp top end!

The power peaks @ 5800 rpm ( ish ) and levels off so no need for 1.4 at silly revs.
