Dodgy / faulty head unit 2014 Cupra 280

Hey Folks,

My head unit has started to freeze randomly, rendering it unresponsive and useless. Turning it off, or restarting the engine doesn't do anything. It fixes itself any time it likes.

I have warranty left on the vehicle until April. Should this be getting replaced under warranty?

Yes! Known fault on VAG group cars

Mine does this, only when it's cold. Plan to ask seat to look at it when it goes in for a service.

mine does it if you plug a phone in via USB.

Switching off notifications on mobile may help, a dealer reckoned this contributed to issue when I had the issue

Old Leon did it 2014 TDi, 2015 Cupra did it yesterday for the first time. If it does it again then they'll have it back for warranty, there were no issues in having it replaced on the old car at all.

Just the screen on mine according to the warranty job sheet, worked perfectly afterwards!
