I think you should lookup the length (or height?) of the coilovers. Maybe TA Technix says something about it on their website?

Are you going to buy the TA's new? of used?

Edit;
I think it won't do, looking at the max weight supported by the coilovers:

Ibiza:
Max VA Last: 900kg / Max HA Last 770KG
http://www.tatechnix.de/tatechnix/gx/index.php?cat=c1136_Ibiza-6K.html

max. VA Last: 820kg / Max HA Last 690KG
http://www.tatechnix.de/tatechnix/gx/index.php?cat=c1194_Lupo.html

I think it will fit, but don't know how long they will last..?

If it's just temporary I would check it first. If they fit, it would work I guess. Maybe it'll just be a softer suspension.

Otherwise for a long term fix;
I dont know Jemax, but I think they'll be the same as VMaxx'
A funny thing is, I just looked up some coilover for myself :p

I found some FK AK coilovers, which cost around €300 here in Holland. The reviews say that there better en more comfy comparaing to the vmaxx', which are on itself not bad for the price.

Off course, there not as good as konigs or something similair, but hey, bang for buck right? konigs will cost you around €900+ at least.

Grtz!

I got a great idea for you.... buy coilovers that are meant for an Ibiza!

Why do soooo many people ask these silly questions! Stop being a tight arse save a bit longer and get the correct setup, guess you won't even notify your insurance of the coilovers being fitted???

+1.

Buy a set of TA Technix coilovers that ARE MADE for an Ibiza, then all the spring rates etc will be correct.

My insurance know about my coilovers, wheels and a few other bits. For what it costs (pretty much next to nothing) there isnt much point not telling them and risking any other problems in the future, i.e after an accident.

I'm thinking we should put a new rule up.... ask any question like this and you should be banned for life for being a tit!

Wow, my spider senses, sense a lot of anger here..
:headhurt:
Okay, im sure fitting ibiza ones would be the best thing. But what if its only for a week or 2, buy a new set? Why not bend the rules (manufactures made up) a bit? im pretty sure there a margin in the coilover max weigth said, and the actual max it can take.
It wouldnt be good for driving around for 2 years, but would stick for 2 weeks as a cheap solution..?

Not all of us can affort €900.- springs as a temp or even a forever solution, or maybe some of us just dont need that extra bit of comfort or "circuit quality"..

Just saying; i thought this forum was about helping people, not blowing every out of the box question off telling them to save some more money right?

Indeed, there is loads of help and much love on here but at the end of the day mate weather it be for 2hrs, 2 days 2 weeks or 2 years. Its not safe they wouldnt be weighted right and you could crash and DIE.;)

not anger....probably frustration at the same old **** stupid Q's time after time.

if you fit coilovers why do the job twice? it's not a 5 minute job, do it right first time with the proper kit

As Dan has already said, there is lots of help and love on the forum, But the same, stupid, pointless questions get asked over and over.

We are just trying to help, just buy an Ibiza specific set of coilovers. You can get a set of brand new Ta Technix for £200 roughly.

Then the spring rates will be correct, the max/min weight etc will be correct, the length of the coilover will be correct etc etc etc. Running the wrong ones can cause lots of problems and could potentially be dangerous.

So why do you need ones from now till you get ibiza approved ones? Go ahead and fit your lupo coilovers just don't come running to use when something happens to your car.

most of the comments on here are from "16v" boys mate!!! so dont just pick on us! on this forum we all piss in the same pot and nobody is different! as your a newbie you wont understand how frustrating it is when people ask questions like this! buy shocks and springs specific for your mk2 and they will work properly. buy them for diferent cars and then you have problems.

As mentioned we all have much love for everyone..newbies or not..

I remember starting a thread once because I just couldn’t work out how to get the head light bulb out.

The :search:search on this forum is a valuable tool. Use to its full potential. 80% of people here rock coilies (apart from vince who made his own using some cardboard and playdoh)and your not the first to think another cars coilies could be used in hope of saving some cash but every thread ends the same. The last 2 things you don’t want to compromise on are the handling and the brakes because you will crash.

And if you think were Keyboard warriors you should check out the Toledo and mk2 Leon section.

My car isn’t boosting right, My car isn’t boosting right, My car isn’t boosting right, My car isn’t boosting right, My car isn’t boosting right, :blahblah:

And so on……
