Does LED headlight replacement require recoding

Hello! I am new here! I own a 2016 Leon Cupra CP 290 and I LOVE IT, however the front left headlight has a broken mount and it shows a range control error(C108515) while the right one throws a B149B01 electric fault code

I know I have to replace the left one, not sure about the right one

The question is if I get an original(Valeo) LED headlight, will it require recoding?

And does the issue with the right headlight also require replacement?

Also, is there a way to tell apart pre-facelift and facelift headlights?

Are you asking if a 1:1 replacement requires coding or do you have halogen light unit now and you want to convert it to a Full LED unit?

Also, I checked and it appears that the left headlight is the original OEM part made by Valeo with the actual part number that is meant to be on the car, I think it will be more cost effective to order the mounting repair kit and see if I can source a leveling motor

However, does the leveling motor require coding?

1:1 replacement will highly likely be a plug and play solution. The only thing that you probably need to do is a basic setting which will level out both headlights according to the signals of the height sensors (2x front, 1x back).

I would recommend replacing the complete unit, that is always best. On my Mercedes CLS55, I replaced both units as it was known that the insulation of the interior wiring would crumble, creating short circuits in the unit itself. But its the expensive option off course...Also depends if you keep driving the car or sell it in the next few years

I see thank you, as for the whole using are you referring to the left headlight? Or the right one?(the right one is not original, the left one with the motor is original)
