Does the leon aircon cutout when you put your foot down?

LCR climate control. Some cars do this to keep power up when you accelerate hard, does the LCR?

i've read on here before that it cuts power to the compressor when on full gas, cant confirm obviously...

Yes, the compressor disengages when the pedal is all the way down, to give back the 10 BHp or so the compressor would sap at full revs.
