Dog Guards

Morning all.

This is my first thread on here and I'm sorry to say it is a pretty boring one.

The dealer called my with a delivery date for my car (10th December, still light years away!), while on the phone I asked about a dog guard for the boot/rear seats but they informed me that they don't do one for the Leon. Great! As the dog comes to work with me every day I wanted to have the dealer fit one for collection but never mind.

I have looked on the internet, I have seen a few ranging from £70 to £100 which I don't mind paying if they are good and don't rattle or mark the seats head rests etc.

I have done a search on here but it just seems that people have posted links to websites, would really like to know if people have got any recommendations for good ones that they are using or have used in the past.

I wouldn't be putting a dog in the back of a cupra R unless the interior of the whole car was covered in bubble wrap and then a massive sheet lol.

Ha ha, the little s**t sits on the front seats of our cars at the moment! Thats the main reason for getting the Cupra, being a hatchback he can be confined to the boot. Oh and the five doors as come January I will have a baby seat in the back aswell, don't reckon the gloss black seat backs will be glossy for long! My poor interior.

I've got a dog guard and a plastic tray in my cupra, keeps my Labrador under control. The dog guard I got off eBay is fantastic,the dog guard/frame is secured between the rear seats and latch, really good design that's well thought out.

Slight resurrection of this post for any new dog owners!

I have Travall dog guard. It cost about £85 and sits comfortably behind the seats. There are alternatives which have bars going to the floor or smaller squares but they look crap and restrict boot space. www.travall.co.uk/dog-guards/seat

You also need a boot liner which is actually like a plastic/rubber tray to protect the base. I paid about £25 for and got it from www.leisureshack.co.uk It fits the Leon perfectly.

In addition, I also bought a boot cover, cant find the link. Its a plastic cover whcih sits beneath the boot liner and then has some extra lengths with velcro on the back which you attach to the sides and rear of the seats so it protects about 1 foot of the boot all around. I also then have

I went for that same dog guard and it is pretty good. I also bought a "hatch-bag", this is a Taylor made boot liner that covers the entire boot and back of the back seat with the 60 40 split in it as well. It is absolutely fantastic, it cost about £120 but worth every penny superb fit. Add a bed and a faux bear skin rug and the dog is happy as a pig in sh*t! And so am I as my leather seats won't take a hammering like my last car!

Hello everyone, just want to share with you (dog owners) my experience today at Seat dealer, my car was near 20k and had the first service, so after I bought the original dog guard to Leon ST 2015 my idea was to ask to install that on the same day, but that didn't happen, they ask 150£ to do that but they need to hire tools to apply that so I need to book in advance, can you believe in this price work???
Is more expensive the work than the part, ridiculous :/
