doncaster LCR noob!

good afternoon guys im brad from doncaster. Im not going to write loads of on here that most wont read before falling asleep anyway im 28 and drive a 53 LCR in platinum grey, its my first seat but by far no means my first VAG, ive had the LCR for around 6 months and done a few subtle mods which im sure most LRC owners do!

Alright mate, from doncaster myself.
Nice little list there, did you find any improvements by doing the n249 bypass? I know theres mixed reviews on whether or not it does do anything but I thought the car felt better initially! Definitely makes the DV louder but after putting it back it seems to pull stronger and is much smoother, especially when coming off the throttle on boost!

You considering a remap next then?

alrite mate yes the list is doing nicely but forgot the add the mapped part and that ive debaffled the intake crossover pipe and sleeved for smoother air flow. To be honest i did notice a little difference from the n249 i thought the throttle and DV response was much quicker as well as the DV being louder. where in doncaster? im in scawsby.

Armthorpe mate, whos the map with? Did you notice much difference with the debaffled intake pipe? If you havent fully removed the n249 and its easy enough for you to plumb it back in I would suggest it just to see if you benefit from it like I have?

my maps with danny wilson, you probably know him or of his as hes from armthorpe. its great and pulls like a train. just want to do a power run now. ive fully removed the n249 mate but ive kept everything from it just incase. what mods are you running?

s2000 open cone filter with cold air feed
N249 bypass but put that back today

Next on the list -

b5 TIP
uprated Boost hoses
3" turbo back exhaust system (thinking cobra)
Fmic
Remap

Thats it for now engine wise but done a few other bits and bobs elsewhere on it

Brad what version of the badger 5 TIP have you got? Did you fit it yourself?

yes fitted it myself mate its a black full 3" with billet adaptor onto the turbo mate will add picture tomorrow if you require? i understand you met my pal earlier on bawtry road lol

Don't worry about the pic mate, that the v2.2 with the billet adaptor then? And yes we did indeed haha, was the TIP easy to fit ?

Yes I'm thinking so mate! I've got a sneaky feeling the OEM TIP is on its last legs and may be collapsing anyways so makes sense!

yes there not the best. get the engine breathing properly is always a good place to start. is there any club meets or anything happening?

Not sure mate have only just come back on the forums the last week or so since getting another LCR but would be up for a few meets though!
