Door control module

Howdy all

I seem to have this door control module fault, symptoms are door open light stays on at times, interior light stays on whilst driving, auto lock inop and alarm randomly goes off.

These faults arent present permanently but occur occasionally. I thought perhaps there was an issue with the o/s/f latch as that door didnt seem to close as easy as before (needed a slam)

Now after some reading i'm concerned it could be the control module instead. If so can I replace it or do they need programming with VAGCOM? I've read on here some say they do some say they dont.

I've priced the unit with local TPS who say it doesn't?
