Hi there,
I have a 1998 Seat Cordoba but the paddle in the drivers door lock broke so i couldn't lock the door i went to seat and got all the parts which they told me was very common!
I can fit all the bits in but the spring is hard work it won't lock in so i can't slide the last bit in to hold it in place if you understand what i mean?
any help would be great
Thanks

mine did it the other week mate, only the barrel came out too lol lost one of the tumblers too, was 15quid for the barrel kit and they want 50 for the tumbler....all for one tumbler :O anyway still havent sorted it yet so just switched door handles around for now lol sick of walking around passenger side door to open it. I know this isnt much help, just wanted to share your cordoba pain haha.

BDW, if your cars central locking it should still lock the door with the dodgy lock? done it on mine alrite.

Had the same trouble - nearly flung the whole thing up the garden several times. Perserverance is all I can suggest - that, or get a friend to help (one of you holding the spring down with pliers while the other fiddles about with the other ridiculously fiddly bits).

Both my front locks went eventually (I have no functioning central locking either, but mine's a Vario, so that was me climbing in through the boot to open the back doors till I got it sorted), and I've still only got the driver's side working properly now. The passenger side seems to work fine out of the car, but once I put it in place in the door it does nothing.

Travel on the driver's side doesn't seem very far, either, but it does at least work.

The SEAT dealer who sold the parts to me wished me luck, and lamented the poor design (as he took my cash ;) ).

Good luck!
