Hi

I'm thinking about removing this useless piece of VW design from my car but as far as I know catalisator is in dpf box

My question is there is any chance to get catalisator from 140bhp leon and fit it to my car so I can be sure that my car do not fail MOT after all this changes which take place in next year

Thanks

Diesel's don't get tested on emissions. A diesel will pass an MOT regardless if there is a cat there or not providing it doesn't smoke excessively.

so there will be just visual smoke test as I have been few times on MOT and never noticed if tester keep looking on exhaust but I notice that he put some probe inside the exhaust pipe

There is a probe that test's for smoke.

If the car constantly smokes like a dirty old taxi then it will fail.

A ploom of smoke on hard acceleration will not fail.

so 100% diesel car will nott fail MOT on emission test good to know that as far as I know in my country there is emision test for diesel cars

Hmm now just need to have chat with missus and book a garage which one is best apart from JBS as they just replace pipe for miltek design one I want to get insert removed from orginal DPF box

i wouldnt be too sure about that, they are passing out a law soon that will make those of us with dpf's off a bit worried, but your local dodgy garage wont mind.

After dpf delete, it won't affect your mot mate. I got a bit of inside info today and all I'll say is I think we're safe just now:)
