DPF delete and smoke

Hi

I get my DPF removed on Tuesday and notice massive smoke cloud on engine start is that normal ??

I know under full load there will be some smoke as DPF was in place to catch all that.

I have this done by P-torque and smoke is blue-grey-black hard to tel really is just lie puff from exhaust on star up ... Is that normal or not at all ??

To make things clear I'm very happy with P-torque job as power delivery is superb Will transformed my car and I'm in love with FR again... I'm just bit worried by smoke

really dont think its too much to worry about just remeber you have had a filter removed that stopped most of the smoke

mine does same...it could be the car is regenerating still..might be a software issue..

No is nothing to do with that ... this smoke is just unburned fuel from engine start up

i had stage 2 remap on dpf delete. mine smokes really badly..blue smoke most times...im taking mine into garage who did the works tomorrow. hope they sort it. I was told mines regenerating all the time as the ecu has not been programmed properly...

Mines smoke just on full load and is not blue smoke bit like dark grey usual stuff for tuned diesel

blue smoke is from oil burning ... not a good sound

It was done by Removemydpf.co.uk also known as morebhp. it doesn't burn oil though!

No never heard about them and I don't think someone from here run car modified by them ... is Your DPF removed and they put performance map in ?? or just DPF removal

The PD170 has a troublesome ecu system in relation to the dpf. If you do a search plenty will come up about companys trying and failing with the software.
After plenty of research on my part and a few others you stick to the big names.

Yes, they have put perfomance map in and also done dpf delete. Drives well with no warning lights etc. Sometimes the power is abit hesitant in delivering. I've researched and understand its due to the dpf regeneration cycle. I'm thinking if the smoking stops it will sort out. I hope so anyway.

Possible regeneration. Good luck. If I were you I would make my way to ***** performance pronto. Engines can be sdverly damaged with the huge temps if your dpf is rdmoved

Not sure. I bought car off someone who had remap done from these guys. He gave me details for this company in case I have any issues with ecu etc. Initially I thought blue smoke mite be engine or turbo. Got turbo replaced but still same. Took to another garage who said it is dpf regenerating all the time causing blue smoke.

Do You replace turbo without proper diagnostic ??
