Just wondering what folks oil consumption is like on there stage 2 fr's. When I first got mine done at 8k it drank a litre in about 1500 miles bit since then (which I put down to engine still bedding in) and frequent oil changes the car consumes next to none over the last 8k car on 17k now, that with 2 oil changes in 8k. What is others consumptions like?

well i had mine done, and i had problems with my glow plug control module (seperate related thing), before i knew what was wrong i thought it could be my oil or a whole host of other problems, so i checked it and it was very low. Went to halfords to top up and i noticed that they did oil that should work in conjunction with your DPF, so i bought some other other oil for cars without dpf so i dont know if that was the problem, but i havent checked it since, glad youve reminded me.

Oh yeah, it had 3k on the clock when i had it de-dpf'd and it had 5k on the clock when i checked the oil, and it was down to the bottom marker, and that was after i'd driven to halfords. I better check mine again today!

I had mine done at ~30k miles and it was serviced there nearly 1k ago at ~40k miles, fella never mentioned it had used too much/too little so everything is fine i assume :)

10k of trouble free driving (more or less) and hopefully many more to come!

I'd be lying if i said it was enough power for me though, I want more!!! :drive2:

I find about 1 litre per 10k miles which for a TDI i think is normal. I've done 20k since the de-dpf and all running ok, i do about 600 miles a week and check it prob every week and end up sticking 100ml in or so to keep it topped up.
