No siren noise from the turbo?
Could be the seal on the turbo bearings and its starting to draw oil from the sump over the bearings and into the turbo where it burns it like fuel?

DPF light is on again now so im thinking its trying to regen but theres nothing there.
DON'T get the delete done guys until its properly tested.

i was seriously considering an FR tdi or an octy Vrs but i made my mind up along time ago to get petrol now after reading this and other threads about DPF.
I dont think anybody whos had this done should have paid for the map untill all the bugs are out, fair enough pay for DPF bypass pipe and fiiting.
Everybody who had problems should get there heads together and demand it sorting, at the end of the day you have been sold something that doesnt do as it says on the tin.

My FR (dpf delete) is smoking badly. On accelleration, when foot lifts from pedal AND low revs. Its also idling at 1000rpm. Do you think the ECU is trying to regen the DPF and not managing it cos its not there?
Any info would be appreciated.

Yes, sounds like it .
Sounds like its trying to regen tbh, when the Leon regens it injects more fuel to get the exhaust to higher temp, which is why you would experience smoking at low revs and 1,000rpm, be careful it's doesnt go into limp mode though.

Yeh mines perfect poverty, no ecu trouble only the sensors previously. Loving the power lol. I really fanyc seeing the performance difference from a standard cupra to my dpf deleted fr, i've got a few cosmetic mods i fancy doing, becuase the car is standard apart from the 18" orions. Hows yours mate?

Mines getting ready for the summer still.
I think yours will piss all over a std cupra. Yours vs a mapped cupra would be interesting. Need to get you down to santa pod this year
Had the same thing only a few days ago.
The strange thing is. Had it on for maybe 5k miles now all fine, I do short journeys less then 5 miles to work, or to the shops. Very limited motorway driving, and a very heavy right foot. All has been great. But when I done a 100mile round trip, cruise control on 70mph on the dot. Normally motorway I get bored at one speed so speed is varied(of course within legal limits ) It tried to regen, then DPF light, then coil light (limp mode_ then engine management light lol. All 3. Got a regen done, was cleared in 4 miles driving when clearing the errors.
Just strange how my car doesn't seem to like long steady journeys, it seems to like varied driving, this in turn stopping it from regen.
Personally if I got another 5k miles before it happened, im still more than happy with the DPF delete

Well its going back to AMD Essex on monday to be put back to standard. Dont have the time, inclination or cash for this delete. It will be the 6th time ive visited AMD!!!

It would be nice if "our tuners - sponsers"?? gave some support to these chaps who have spent hard earned monies only to find that the mod appears to fail some time after conversion. They have a wealth of chaps who would be willing to "test"[it would require regular technical feed back to the sponsors] say over 6 months on this site. So once and for all this mod can be put to bed, gremlins and all. There IS a big market out there if it can be got right, so come on you tuners. ............................... lets have a constructive response

Certainly in the case of one of the tuners they were all over the forums pushing the product to produce sales, then disapear when problems arise.
Seems to me that the "DPF Off" was marketed partly as a performance increase and partly as a solution to all the problems associated with the DPF. It's clear now that the problems arent to do with the filter itself, but the sensors - and these remain (or in fact seem to be worse) after the DPF removal conversion.
£800 for an extra 20-30hp over a generic remap, plus the regular problems due to failing sensors doesnt sound good to me.
Doesent quite sound "as described" to me, at least not until all these problems are sorted.
Taipan deserves some sort of compensation surely, 6 times back is ridiculous.
Come on guys, keep us informed - and certainly dont persue the "group buys" until everything is resolved.
