DPF Gutting / Mod MOT Success also any recommendations for Leeds area?

Hi,

I am thinking of getting my DPF "moded" on my 07 Leon FR. Its done 93K & is starting to play up slightly but I don't fancy paying over a grand for a new filter. I have being in contact with a specialist custom exhaust company in Leeds called Tony Banks who fit a new down pipe with a dummy DPF & remap for £450. Anyone ever heard of this being done & if so who has had there cars pass a MOT with the DPF removed / gutted out etc?

Also anyone recommend a company in the Leeds area other than the one I mentioned who could do the work?
