Leon mk glow plug light flashing

Good evening all
I have read numerous pages on this subject and I still have the issue.
I will explain my problem as quick as possible amd if someone can help I will send the biggest create or beer your way.
Right here goes I purchased a seat leon fr550 which seemed perfect until the glow plug light started flashing,so I took it for a diagnostic test.
After the test it cane up that I needed two Injectors replacing and there was a turbo issue.
So I took it to my local lions van specialist they did a diagnostic test and also found the same.
So they replaced 2 injectors and replaced turbo actuator.
I thought awsome job done,I took it for a drive light came back on so back to lions it went.
They did a full inspection and found out the div who had the car before had smashed the inside of the dpf out.
So they did more investigations to find he'd aslo put an absolutely shocking remap on the car too.
So they got In touch with seat got hold of a standard remap and put it back to factory.
They then cleaned the inside of the dpf and blanked it off.
While doing so they also got a proper dpf delete for my car thr car fan so much better.
I tool it out for a drive again glow plug light came on.
They put diagnostic on it and it came up with air leak fault.
So they put a smoke machine on the car and found two boost hoses were split and the manifold had a massive split in it.
So the manifold and hoses were replaced.
Again I thought job done.
Took it out glow plug light still on!
Put diagnostic kit on it no fault codes!!!
Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing the issue please?
Again if anyone can help there's a massive create of beer in it for you.
Many thanks for reading my essay matt

Light won't come on without it throwing a code, what diagnostic machine was doing the code reading?

Sounds like you bought a right turd to be honest. If the DPF had been removed, has the EGR been done as well? Perhaps that needs mapping out also?

Ah man thats not what I wanted to hear to be honest.
Lions had snap-on diagnostics on it and had vag-com on it too they went over the whole car and engine they said it was solid.
Unfortunately the previous owner had done a poor job of messing with dpf.
No body has mentioned the egr yet do you think that could be causing the issue?
The light on flashes when the engine is cold when it warms up and you restart the engine it disappears it runs perfectly its just as soon as you accelerate the light comes on.

I think you want someone with VCDS to sit in the car while you drive it and examine live data, try to figure out what is actually causing your issue.

Does anyone on the forum live anywhere local to Leicester that may be able to help with knowledge of the Leon's?
I will happily pay for someone's time.
I'm spending my time in and out of hospital at the moment so I really need the car for appointment.
Last time I spoke to lions they said it wasn't a major issue causing the fault as they had been through everything.
They said it may be an ancillary issue causing the fault that could be anything

Impossible to say for sure without live data and fault codes, but the fact that it happens when you accelerate would suggest that it may be turbo related. Did they install/ calibrate the new actuator properly would be my frst thought, but like i say it could be any number of issues.

I took it too lions who a supposedly a seat specialist I've checked the paperwork apparently it was a turbo boost pressure fault I will find the fault code from paper work when I next go in the draw
It's booked in for another diagnostic test on Monday

I would consider taking it to another seat specialist. I'm not sure how the car could possibly need that many parts? Sounds like they have replaced half the engine and you still have a fault!

Either you bought the worlds worst maintained/bodged 2nd hand motor, or they are cowboys simply throwing various parts at it without knowing what the issue is. If you still have a flashing glowplug light then there must be a code present.

I dont know of any other seat specialist in Leicestershire to be honest.
The engine was a mess they called me in before they proceeded with any work
I've checked the original paperwork and the original fault on the turbo was
Code p0299 turbo under boost permanent
They did a remap and it fixed the issue and not had turbo issues since apart from going into limp mode.
I agree woth what you are saying either the previous owner has completely bodged it or lions simply don't know the real route course of the issue.
But I genuinely appreciate your help and honesty thank you :)

No worries, i hope you get to the bottom of it soon. P0299 underboost could be a lot of things, boost leak, problem with the turbo/actuator, or a problem with the valve that controls boost pressure.

Worth a trip to Yorkshire and get it into Darkside Developments.

If they can't fix it, it's not getting fixed.

Ok mate I will give them a call see what they think of my situation see if they can help.
Thank you for the heads up its very much appreciated.
Just out of curiosity what's the story with the brake pedal switches on the frs as I have been researching and it keeps popping up that faulty switches can cause glow plug light issues on many of the vags actually not just the seats.
It may be a long shot Just wondering what your thoughts are?

Faulty brake light switch used to trigger the glow plug light on mk1's not sure about the mk2. Definitely worth checking your brake lights are working though.

Mines booked in Tuesday
Your right plugs was the problem but also the wiring harness for the plugs too.
Apparently the harness for them is a common fault on the tdi engines.
I will get you the fault code number when I pop to the garage so you can scan yours and see if the same code comes up.

Okay pal, I’ve had no end of problems with mine. First glow plugs, now the DPf has a dodgy sensor so that’s coming and it’s runs shocking on idle

I was told sensors for dpf may cause issues but mines all been deleted now so no further issues.
But I will send over fault code to you on Tuesday for you

Mine rarely comes up only after a lot of switching between D and R, which sounds different to the context you had mentioned, but I was told that it was something to do with the breaking system. He used an urban mechanics term for what might need changing, but said it's fine until it comes up fully.

Did not sound 'expensive'.
