Hey guys,so any of you guys had you 1.6 tdi mapped yet? im getting quite bored already with mine![]()
Nope, cmdtech still haven't cracked the RSA for the ECU. I keep checking regularly....
I think the MOT is only a smoke test for a diesel. If the DPF is removed they can just take it out of the original pipe so 'looks' normal. Don't think a CAT is a necessity for a derv either, but might be wrong![]()
I was planning on having a remap done to mine but couldn;t get the insurance company to agree to more than 10% so am now waiting for renewal time.

"what a conman remap24.co.uk took my money such poor workmanship, blocks cut off, box wedged in, and says i should take it to his polish friend to fix it, dont think so, one pole allready had some, dont trust em.If you want mazda fixed only true option fix with original parts, costs a bomb, stay well clear from chancers who think they can fix it."

IIRC the new mot rules state that if the exhaust LOOKS modified ( ie has DPF or CAT boxes removed ) then the car will fail.
If the exhaust looks OK ( assuming the guts have been removed ) then as long as it passes the relevant emissions test then its OK.
I don't know anyone who has had an MOT with a DPF, but wait with interest to see the results.
I don't think it has come in to force yet, but there is talk of it being put on the MOT check list in the future. Currently I do not believe cars are tested against the official emissions from new so as long as you can pass the general emissions test (easy in a modern car) then it should be OK.
