Dribbling Washer Fluid on my foot!!

Hi everyone. Ive joined this Forum as I have had loads of help over the years with other cars. I bought a 2019 used Leon last year. The wife complained of a dribble on her foot last year and said it "stinks". I simply thought it was AC condensate. Now we have bad weather its occcuring more so I have investigated.
Its screenwash! I can only assume its leaking "somewhere" and tracking along a shelf or pipe or through a loom or something. Both the front and rear systems seem to cause the leak, the rear causing a real gush.
Can anyone tell me where the pipe runs and which panels need to be removed? Phones SEAT and pipes are not covered on any warranty ?

There is a join in the pipe that goes to rear of the car, think it's behind the panel where the bonnet lever is.

Thanks. First job is to check there are two pumps and not one. If its two I will disconnect the rear pump then we dont get any more spills. I will then look for the split behind the panel as you say. Next I will just double check the screen wash tube but I would be surprised its that.

There will only be one pump to provide washer fluid to the front and rear screens, so disconnecting it is not an option.

Thank RUM4MO. I was discussing this with my local garage. He said the same but I then found a screen dump of the screenwash tank and it had two, now I see the other is for the headlight wash. Either way I will remove the splash shield and look. Ill come up with a plan somehow, even if its a TEE so they both do the screen. Anyone know how the side panel around the bonnet release comes off?

Have a look in the resources section, I'm sure that there is a link to a workshop manual that will help you out.

I think that the 2 feeds are fitted with one way valves, the pump works in both directions, pumping fluid to the front when running in one direction, and pumping fluid to the rear when running in the reverse direction, some these pumps then should have 2 outlets. Your problem will probably be a disconnected pipe, maybe caused by the fluid sludging up or freezing due to low temperatures.

Thanks RUM4MO. Had the car stripped today. The fluid is coming from a loom, maybe in a conduit behind the steering wheel. It terminates at a big black P clip. I had the bonnet release panel off. What a pain in the ass that was. The pipe comes through the bulkhead to a connector then goes up towards the screen. Here it must meet this loom/ conduit before going up the A pillar but impossible to get to. I simply disconnected the pipe from the pump in the end. You are correct, its is one pump with valves. The polarity is simply reversed, one direction is front screen, the other is rear screen. I took the battery off to check the feed to the front screen. On putting the battery back it came up with a million faults. OMG what have I done ?!!! Turns out you just need to turn steering lock to lock.
So, not a fix but better than have a) wet feet b) fluid on my electrics.
An absolutely RUBBISH design.

Hopefully you can buy a "repair section of washer piping" and fit it in between the pump and where you CAN reach another point in the pipework.

the only chance is to take the glove box out, the fuse board out and see if its just in front of you. I think Ill leave it until I find a post where it was found and fixed.
