I am sure this was asked before. In the last 7 days my Cupra Leon plug in hybrid has been telling me the front assist is unpaired+ lane assist + another one that I do not remember about the occupant. They all come up one after another sometimes they disappear and then they come back . I cleaned the sensors and the black squared thing under the registration plate but i am still having the alarms. What else can be done? I believe it's fine to drive the car but it's annoying to hear the alarm all the time. Would this be covered by the warranty? The car is still under warranty.

Take it back to the garage and ask them if it's covered by the warranty.

Is the warranty a CUPRA new car one or a used / extended warranty.

Has the garage done any investigations to see what is causing the error, have you run a diagnostic scan to see what errors are being reported.

Is it all the time or just first thing in the morning/late evening? Both my Leon’s have warned be about assistance systems when it’s cold, usually 4 degrees or less. It always clears though after a minute or so.

In the morning and late evening. It clears after 10/15 minutes then it comes back. It is colder than normal here , also 4 degrees. This evening the windscreen was foggy and the alarm was there as soon as I pressed start. I am not sure if this is also linked to the alarm.
The alarm started a couple of days ago when we had the storm.

The Cupra Is a used car, pcp, it's an extended warranty. The garage wants to make money so they would be my last option. How do you do a diagnostic?

The message "sensor impaired" does not necessarily indicate that there's a fault. It means one of the sensors can't see correctly, the radar(s), windscreen camera or PDC sensors. This can be caused by the likes of condensation over the camera on the inside of the screen or external frost.

Once the obstruction is gone, usually when the screen or radar warms up and depletes the ice/condensation, the function is restored.

If the fault said the system was unavailable then that would be a different matter.

I have a new Tiguan, it displays the same messages in icey weather.

I will take pics of the errors and show them here. Thank you

Hello, given that it's an extended warranty would this be different from a new car warranty? Once the steering wheel was having problems and they replaced because the warranty covered it

It’ll depend on the scope of cover provided by the warranty, and the cover will vary depending on whether the warranty you have is a Cupra extended warranty, a Cupra Approved Used warranty or provided by an independent company such as Warrantywise.

I’d recommend checking your warranty booklet (including checking the conditions and exclusions sections) to establish whether or not your issue is likely to be covered.

All these alarm are coming on every time I am starting the car (it's been like these in the past 3 days, with cold weather and heavy rain). The journey today was 1 hour and 3 minutes. The alarms came on as soon as I started the car. After 10 minutes they disappeared for 10 minutes and they came back from minute 23 to all the rest of the journey

I will need to contact the garage and ask them to send me a copy of the warranty

In that case it's worth having the issue investigated
