Driver door wont unlock sometimes, LHD car

Hello.
I am from Croatia and have LHD LEon FR 2005.
I noticed that sometimes, and getting more often, driver doors wont unlock.
Then it will unlock 10/10 times...then again it wont 10/10 times.
When it doesnt want to unlock i can definitely hear some squealing, screeching sound from drivers doors whem i press loch/unlock on my key, like something is half stuck.
Same thing when i use doors lock/unlock button.
When i am inside, it will unlock when i hit door card.
Hitting from outside doesnt help.
So, so i guess it isnt bad welds problem that is present very often, but maybe some mechanical half failure?
In any way, i have to remove door card, there is no simple solution for this, right?
Like greasing mechanism or someting?

The mechanisms are very prone to failure in our cars, quite often the door lock won't go through its full range of motion which result in the door not being able to be opened.

You could strip the door card off and the ancillary panel to check nothing has come loose or preventing the locking arm moving.

I have a deadlocked rear door at the moment, which is going to require me to smash the locking mechanism from the inside of the door until it lets go.... that won't be much fun!

I think this is the problem here...i have a feeling that it goes half way..ill have to check it
Is there a gguide for leon doork trim removal?
I saw a guide on vwortex, but is there leon specific one?
I just dont want to mess anything up..

I think it is from Golf 4, aret hey the same as Leons?

And, i also dont have a key hole on any door handles...isnt drivers door suposed to have key hole?

It's like I chirp sound like a bird, yes we have all had that problem, you need to change that part you have in the photo, the change is very easy 45min if you haven't done it before 15/20 if you have

Try giving your door a smack with you hand beside where your lock is, if you can get it open there take the door apart inside

As i wrote in my first post, lock sometimes works ok, and when it is stuck knocking from the outside doesnt help, from the inside it helps.
Whatever it is, i definitley have to remove door card and try to fix it.

Yes you will have to replace the drivers door modal, mines went not that long ago, I think it's very common on our cars

Fixed it
Had to remove door card, remove handle and locking mechanism, opened it up, there is 1 electric motor in it, opened it up and use sandpaper on electric motor collector, it was very dirty, and burned a little bit or corroded, its hard to say.
