Drivers side airbag crash sensor

Hi Guys,

Just trying to resolve my airbag crash sensor, I read it was under the drivers seat attached to a cross member. Had a look and all I can find is the esp sensor. Had yet other Google and found that it might be in the door panel itself. Can anyone confirm before I take the door card off? It's a Mk2 FR 57 plate.

I think it's in the door. If it's anything like the Mk2 TT it will be. On the TT you remove the card and it should be clearly visible in the centre of the door. I'd imagine it's much the same on the Leon.

Five years later i have some questions I got the same problem after driving into a pothole. How did you dismantle the door card? I heard the window has to come off its clamps and so on. Was it difficult?
