Hi guys,
I joined this forum ages ago when I had my first problem with the leon...now I'm on my second ! not bad really...
Problem is that the Key turns in the lock but doesn't activate the central locking or pull the knob up or down. It seems like there's no resistance when turning anti clockwise and no signs of any movements on the door lock knob inside. (The remote fob hasn't worked for years)
I'm assuming there's a control arm that's come detached but I'm sure it won't be that simple and it'll be a whole unit that I need to scavange from somewhere.
My real question tho is, before I embark on removing the door panel..do I really have to disconnect the window and umpteen other things to get to the lock mechanism ? seems like it from some online guides I've looked at.
Mines not a Cupra...just a 1.8 and has the window controls built into the door panel itself unlike the guide I've seen for the cupra...
TIA
Ant.
