Hi all just thought id share this with you as its a little strange.

So anyway ive had the worst luck with my car this year,

Xmas the clutch went. It was a year 1/2 old. Seat said something about a flywheel and oil bla bla and its becoming common. so watch out. It wasn't all bad my boss lent me his Mazda RX8 (top spec) for week which was nice but expenses to run

Seat told me that although its a warranty job its not their policy to supply a car for more than three days, so your stuffed. Thanks! [:@]
But i will also say that Seat in Cheshunt helped me out big time,
They pulled an altea 2.0 Tfsi off the forecourt until mine was fixed. so can't argue there but felt let down by Seat in general.

So to the point of this rant and the intriging mystery of my new problem.

For about 2 weeks ive had debris spilling out of the vents, so dropped it off at Seat cheshunt, i was expecting it to be Air filter or something breaking up.....But it wasn't.

After a long phone call, which was along the lines of " your joking, stop pulling my leg! and its not even April and surely you are not serious" this is what i was told..

 Apparently i have a Mouse living in venting system!!
All the debris is what it has chewed
Worst thing is, they don't know where the sucker is! It cost £300 to tell me that:banned:
It will cost from £1400 to find it apparently so they have advised me to set traps up over night..:wtf:

So either its there or is not, who can tell. All i know is that i have more than Horsepower under the bonnet now:D

I'd rig up a wheel to a generator & see if you can coax the mouse into charging your battery over night.

My dad bought a new Volvo V50 last year. Within a couple of month a mouse had moved into the engine bay, making a nest on top of the engine cover. It had pulled in small bits of wood and started muchin' on rubber gaskets. Naturally my dad wasn't best pleased, so he bought some poison and left out in the garage. It didn't take long before the rodent had disappeared.

What about turning your aircon to max heat or cold, and see how long it takes before the bugger comes out. Failing that, watch Tom & Jerry for tips.

Ive seen no further evidence of it, but i did drive around yesterday with the heat on high. Toasted mouse anyone?

I like to think that its gone or died by now....fingers crossed anyway.
Thing is they found food stuffs too in the vents, so either it packed a suitcase or its coming and going?
