DSG Problems Please Have a Look

Im having problems with my DSG on my Boc as well. Bad rattle when I go over bumps. SEAT in Spain and UK have been involved. They have described the noise as NORMAL which I find amazing that metal crashing against metal can be described in this way. I have spoken to a journalist from Autoexpress who is doing some investigating with a view to doing an article on it. Would anybody else like to give me there e-mail address so I can forward them onto him so he can see exactly how big the DSG problem is?

SEAT are also putting it in writing to me stating that the way my gearbox is functioning is perfectly normal

I pointed out all the problems that people are having with the DSG box and firstly they denied any problems and secondly they wouldnt consider what I was saying as websites like these arent officially part of the VW group. What a joke!!!!!!!!!!

I have created an e-mail account for you to send your address through to, makes it more private and safe.

Send any message to [email protected]

I will then just forward it onto Nick at Autoexpress

Hopefully if we get enough of us together they will see how big this problem really is

We have been promised similar letters and reports from SEAT and from the Technical Unit - but we are still waiting.

If we get enough of us I though about forwarding onto BBC's Watchdog as well. A friend of mine has an Audi TT and on their forum page they did the same, there was something wrong with the dashboards from what I remember. Anyway because of this Audi are still providing replacement parts free and thats about 8 years ago all because of Watchdog getting involved

I feel like i'm driving a 1980 van not a 2 months old car. Went to the dealer and the mechanic came with me while driving to make him hear the noise and said he can't hear nothing. Afterwards he said " Well you could always turn up the volume of the music, I know you guys love that "

I felt I was being fooled around giving me such an answer

Wish there would be some official documentation from Seat Spain so I could go stick it to his face

I would of driven him 100 miles away from the dealership and booted him out of my car.

Hi, Had my Boc for about two weeks now, I Have noticed a rattle if im driving with the windows down, didnt know what it was, its a bit annoying and a bit embarrassing when your passing staring people !! will e-mail the above link, thanks... Rob

Mine has done it for the last 15k.. Unfortunately I think it is a characteristic of the gear box..
Try putting it in manual and holding it in 3rd or 4th over bumps it tends not to do it.
