DSG service

Good afternoon all. I've just had my DSG oil renewed, and I am wondering whether to carry out a DSG reset with Carista?

I've owned the car for 5 weeks, and the gear changes are smooth 95% of the time. It sometimes jerks when it starts moving from stationary, and sometimes holds gears for too long before changing up.

I've read that doing a reset will make the car 'relearn' and it could be more suited to my driving style. I figure now is the time to do it.

I did have a browse but I can't find any posts directly related to doing this with Carista?

TIA

I have a carista and I am not sure I have ever seen this on it. Think Carista is a little basic as opposed to the VSCD or whatever its called. More for switching on functions

But i would be intrigued if there is some way to for this "relearn" as I do say my dsg can be a little clunky at times as well, Random 2nd-1st in sport mode can feel like ive jabbed the brake pedal as it changes. But the service did help in this. They did what they called adaptions which i think is something to do with syncing the clutches to the gearbox as part of the service

Yeah, I've turned on a few things with Carista. I've been wary though as I plugged it into a friends 2020 Tiguan, and the infotainment started to randomly reboot. I put it back to how it was and it's been fine since. Weird!

There is a seperate option for adaptations on Carista. I think it says to do this after a service, but I'll have a look when I plug it in later.

Update:

I carried out the DSG adaptations before driving home from work yesterday (around 30 miles). There was some clunking noises from the transmission whilst it did it, it took about 2 minutes. I can confirm that it feels exactly the same.

Ever since I had the gearbox replaced, it jerks slightly going down from 3rd to 2nd. Had an autobox specialist look at it. They said it’s one of the cleanest if not cleanest DSGs they’d ever seen… Still jerks slightly.
