Hello there everyone, well here is a situation, my car is a SEAT FR 2008 2.0TFSI that has right now 105000KM.
I purchased the car from a AUDI mechanic about 8 months ago.
Recently I started hearing a knocking sound from my car in the transmission area when the car is stationary in neutral.
When I press the clutch in the knocking sound stops, when i let the clutch go it continues.
I always heard it before from time to time but now its became annoying now that I have BSH Engine Mounts.
Which means the knocking sounds louder in the cabin.
When I turn off the engine after driving very hard or aggressive. the car shuts of horrible it gitters and shuts off.
But if i shut it off with the cluch in it shots of a lot more better.
Now the Mechanic told me that maybe its The clutch that has worn out. (I was new to driving standard so i might have screwed the cluch my self).
but he did say that the clutch, flywheel and presure plate was new, and that it was originally for a TDI car FR but he put it in my car which is a petrol car, my question is could it be that i am hearing this sound because its not the right clutch kit ? I really dont want a SMF because I heard the clutch will be harder to press and I am surly going to hear noise and rattles.
At this point i am so fed up I am thinking on switching back to brand new OEM engine mounts not to hear any noise.
I am thinking to purchase a new LUK DMF from ECS Tuning website, but this seems like its going to be a pricey job, being that the mechanic said that If i change it i rather change everything.
please let me know what you guys think.
Thanks in advance.
