Hi all, this is on my 2003 Cupra R, basically approx 2 weeks ago I had a boost leak, at the time I did not realise it was a boost leak, my old dump valve on release didn't create much of a hiss, it was more of a quick hiss then a loud TING, so I took it to the garage, had it all checked out and they found a ruined pipe, the crank vacuum one, apparently quite common?

So, they replaced the pipe and the car did feel a bit more responsive but still not right, the dump valve was a 007p but it was a fair few years old so I bit the bullet and ordered a new one, fitted it but it didn't make the blindest bit of difference. The best way to describe the issue is that the turbo is very laggy, but there are no leaks anywhere, anyone have any advice or ideas??

as regards the hesitation/ lack of power sort the temp senor first... it can effect a lot

Have you got an old stock dv you could try?

I recently a few months ago bought a Forge 007 And put it on my 04 54 Cupra R. Every so often I feel this, and other times I seem to have more boost. When plugged into VAGCOM, it said a vacuum issue. But sometimes I can loose all boost and have to cut car out and back on then it's fine again. So I could do with some help on this aswell please

If you have a vac leak the ecu will compensate until it passes a certain point and the ecu will cut the boost to a very low level. restarting the car resets the parameters hence getting your boost back.

A smoke test is the only certain way to identify leaks, and saves a lot of frustration.

ive had a smoke test done previously and one pipe was split, had it replaced and there are no more leaks, but this issue is still ongoing. as for the temp sensor, can it affect the DV operation? ive tried a few DVs and they all do the same, as for the temp sensor ill do that this weekend and see what happens
