dump valve works only when driven

tried a search but cant find the answer im lookin for
basically i have the forge split r and its sounds great when im drivin but if i rev it on the spot it doesnt dump?

does everyones do this or is mine broken?

No load = no boost = nothing to dump.

oh i see, was gona say when im on the spot about to pull away at a junction or sumthin it dumps then because the clutch is slightly out but just on the spot thers no noise

if you rev the **** out of it you'll eventually create some pressure in the system....but why you'd want to is beyond me

there is more boost when your driving and this is the reasonf ro the noise. or if you have turbosmart like me then you get it all the time but thats purley because of the type of dv i have!

Yep will get full noise only when in full motion but a dv like mine and mr d's will blow all the time

mine dumps when reving on the spot i have a bailey dv but im not reving the sh*t out of it!!

search net, ebay, usa ebay that is a good one aswell. you want a turbosmart dual port dv. u can buy new for anything between £160-£215.00(when being ripped off) or can try and pick one up secondhand for £90-.......

think myki paid £90 for his or maybe a little less. i paid £125 but i shipped mine from america and it is alllllllooooootttt bigger than myki's but the same sound. we have sound clips

mine on this page. but mine is alot different now. you can hear chatter in this one but sorted that out this weekend. mine now sounds like myki's on the first page i think it is.

You get what you pay for trotters, thats the bottom line mate

Want loud then its Turbosmart all the way, you want complicated then its the Split R and if you want quiet then its the 007's and BV30's. However the 007 and BV30 will hold boost a tiny bit longer than the Turbosmart and Split R, if its noticable or not i couldnt say

if u look on usa ebay you might be able to pick one up cheap. But they are well worth the money. And if u buy the big a** one i got the be prepared to buy extra hose and fiddle around with it a bit. But i will never regret it

I agree with u on the chav request. But i cant say anything about it because i have one on my car. And its the only thing that will be chav.

From what ive been told by a few people now its because the air goes back into the system so can hold it a little longer than those that dump it out. Like i said i dont kno if theres a noticable diference im just goin by what ive been told

So your saying your valve causes a boost leak then? On WOT it should be shut no matter if its a BOV or recirc.
