Has or would anybody buy a car from E-Bay?

Just asking as i did, and was wondering if anyone else did.

Yes, I've had four cars from ebay, three of which 'we' still own. Well satisfied.

I would say no ... only because I have sold a heap of junk on e-bay and got VERY good money for it.

Although I think the same rules apply as if it were a "normal" auction. Go and have a look at it ... THEN bid... Safest way.

Some people don't like to use it, but i honestly think you can pick up a right bargain.

Other than my Ibiza Cupra, if it weren't for Ebay I would prob never buy a car. I buy and sell cars on it all the time and have never had a bit of hassle.

Definately agree with that, I have previously done it this way, like others have said, many bargains are to be had !!

I think most sellers just use it as cheap advertising, they would expect any prospective owner to contact them and come and see

thats what i did, where it says ask buyer a question, i asked him for his phone no. and email address. asked how much he was after and flew down to see it then drove 450 odd miles back up to scotland, well chuffed. ps has anyone went further than me for a car or am i alone in my madness ?

my cupra came off ebay was very pleased with her and a bargain. 600mile round trip to get her.

I sold my 206 Gti on ebay and got just over 2k than what i wanted for it so very happy!!
But im with slimjim i would have to go and look at the car before bidding!!

i bought my mini from ebay and the bloke delivered it to me before i paid anything was in good condition
