Easiest and cheapest way to increase BHP?

Hi,

I have a 02 LC with 180bhp and would like a little more power.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get an extra 20-30bhp without having to upgrade any other parts?

Do you need to change parts if you get a stg 1 remap?

Are there any other options?

Have virtually no mechanical knowledge so any advice would be appreciated.

Stage 1 map is designed for a stock car so no mods required other than decent fuel.

I have a standard 01 cupra, looking to get a stage 1 map, about 30-45bhp increase, torque increase and increased fuel efficiency, found a place that will do it for £235 called Angel Tuning, not sure if they're any good though!!

Not heard of Angel Tuning, but don't believe what the companies say with regards to increased fuel efficiency! Yes you may have an extra 1mpg or so when driving economically, but on full whack your mpg will still be shocking as it is with all 1.8T engines
