Thanks for that Mork. Sent him an email.

Anyone else know of any good companies??

Cars sitting outside looking fresh but immobile :-(

£195 doesnt seem to bad IMO, although you could proberly pick up a mapped one for around that 2nd hand.

Whats been mentioned above, could be the solution to you knacked ECU.

What was mentioned is most definitely the solution, but is irrelevant right now.

Got a cheaper quote now - £140 and that will retain the map that I have on there!

Looking positive!

Not really, it might have given Phil a kick up the arse!

I`d snap his hand off at that i think, especially as you get to retain you map, i would have thought they might of had to flash it back to stock.

Happy days :D

i had the same problem with one of my old ecu's water damage, managed to get it sorted with a ahir dryer though, lol , suprised no one has made a protective cover for it yet, when it happened to mine i asked forge if they could make one, that was about 2 years or so ago!!!! and phil was designing it then

Righteoo...ECU came back from it's rebuild, plugged it in, got keys coded and bingo - car started!

Ran spot on for an hour or so..and I mean spot on,power was back and all was good until i dropped a gear woops..missfire! Carried on driving for a bit and then it went down hill and the car cut out [:@] Didn't want to start...called my new best friends down at the RAC and towed home. Plugged in VAGCOM and that came up with "Ground to Zero" errors...approximately 7 of them - dodgy wiring? Or faulty ECU?

Mechanics going to have a look at it this week...just want the damn thing back as those 60 odd mins that it was running, reminded me of what im missing  :(
