Woop, new week, same problems!

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the AQX 1.8T?

Also, secondary water pump stays on when the car is turned off and the fuse box ontop of the battery has been replaced....!? After a search, I couldnt quite find a suitable conclusion - any ideas?

Would it be possible to get a read out of fault codes?

When mine was playing havoc one mechanic told me it was fixed got a 3 miles down the road and it went again, tried seat who lifted the bonnet see all my shiney bits and said it was to modified for them to touch, so ended up hiring a low loader and took it down to Bill (Badger5) who ended up fixing it within a week IRRC.

Mine ended up being the main loom plug had got water inside and slightly corroded the connector points IIRC.

Mine ran really awfull, didnt idle properly and when it did it wouldnt last long and would end up bucking and cutting out.

Just so you can maybe rule it out, open up the connector and see if theres water inside.

Im really considering getting it towed to someone who knows about the car specifically, but going to give my mechanic another week. The connector was slightly corroded but was sorted of any corrosion! Majority of the fault codes are "ground to zero" ones, approx 8 of them, so Im hoping it is a wiring issue and therefore need a wiring layout to give to my mechanic!

Will also try to get a list of all the codes...in the meantime, if someone has a copy of the Wiring Diagram, please send it my way!

Brilliant news mate! Must be so glad to get her out and go for a good drive! Wanted to ask you, can you PM me the number of your bodystop guy? Need my bumper resprayed asap!

Glad you got it sorted mate.

Just on the topic of protecting the ECU... what have people done to protect thiers?
Mines wrapped up in a bin bag which I change every few months!

those who wrap them in bags also waterlog their ecus from the ones I see..

add a water cover on the top and over the electrical connectors, but otherwise let the thing breathe and not sweat etc
