I've been getting oil leaking from the EGR on my engine, it's coming from what looks to be a vent hole below the EGR vacuum unit. Not a huge amount but enough of it to suggest something isn't right.
Some pictures of where I mean - it's worth pointing out I cleaned the oil off before I thought to take a photo.
It's probably dropped from full to 2/3 on the dip stick in a little over 2500 miles, I've taken it on a 1200 mile round trip to Scotland and it never missed a beat.
I've found various stories on other forums which say the Turbo seals have gone, the EGR is on the way out or that a breather pipe is blocked....? All I can say is that there are no odd noises from the turbo and the EGR looks clean.
The engine is a BXE on 97k, always serviced to the letter.
Has anyone else had the exact same problem?
