I guess not, just thought this one was the most rated.
You got the Forge one then?
They are just down the road from me so will be an easy buy

be hard or a long wait to order an EIP new
i picked mine up on second hand ad's for 50quid
its brilliant, i love it

That's why I mentioned the Forge one, as I know most people who have tried to order EIP stuff have had massive delays.

are a few available

EIP (great but hard to get hold of)
Neuspeed (think awesome gti stock these)
Forge (easy to get hold of and seem to get good reviews-forge do make brilliant stuff)

Looks like I'll pop down to Forge then.
Cheers guys!!
Any advice on fitting one or should I get someone with experience to do it.
I'm not that great with "range of tools" side of things.

dont think its too difficult, search and there are a few guides
saying that i took the lazy approach and had it fitted while the car was having other stuff done

I am going to Canada in May so may be able to pick up either the EIP then.
Which EIP version is it?

which one do I need for LCR?
Is it exactly the same as the TT version (same year)

EIP's part number is E0307002 mate. I've got one on order from westec performance along with a dog bone mount. Been waiting 7 weeks now but just keep telling myself its something to look forward too just like when my warranty runs out next year and i get REVO. I'm in no big rush but if you can't wait months the forge one does look just the job and you can adjust it to suit your preference.

Out of interest, what's making you wait for the EIP one instead of cancelling and going for another manufacturer?

Fitted my Forge short shift yesterday. Took about 10 minutes, one clip and one bolt to remove. Set it on shortest, refitted the Forge item and off I went.

The nice thing is that a very short throw wont be for everyone, but obviously with this you can tailor it to your own preference. Superb.

Very very pleased with the result. So another vote for the Forge from me.

ROB, just that every post I have read from someone that got the eip one says its great. Also just not that sure about the adjustable one, there is no possibility of a fixed one moving (it can't come loose). And like I said I am very patient. As far as the mount goes It seems from what i've read that the poly bushes give more vibration. and if I get the eip one and dont like it I can spend another 20 pounds and put the poly ones in my original mount and refit it.
DOM, just google eip tuning and it is called MK4 6 speed short shifter, says its for most 6 speed vags and 1.8T's. it is defo the right one.

Dom,

Had to tap the original with a hammer lightly to loosen it as specified in the instructions as it was a bit tight. But it really only was a couple of taps then it came off fine with a wiggle.

As long as you have a decent socket set then its easy. I borrowed a mates tools. Been out and about all day in the car, still loving the improvement. Much more similar to my old Impreza and how the car should have been in the first place!!

Fair play, just curious that's all. I've not heard of the Forge one coming loose though, so I wouldn't worry about that. But fair play if you want to stick with the EIP one. Just a shame they make it so hard to get hold of!
