Looks like mine when i got a can mixed up from halfords, but it isn't mate tried a few times but still no joy, got my money back though and went to a local shop and that is what's on my mirrors in the sig
yea them spray cans are no were near the proper paint code. i got 1 good can from a back street discount and it was bang on went a week later and it had closed down
Halfords are rubbish on imperial blue, tried to get a can mixed up once but it was ridiculous, so far out I could have mixed it better by eye! Fortunately got a proper paint shop literally a few minutes away from my house, and they got in bang on.
Well now I'm very tempted to go back and get them off the car, still could do with some clues as to how much work it is to get them off? Guessing door cards off, internal mirror cover off, external mirror coover off then that pops the mirror off, but what about the electrics etc? anybody please?
if its the same as lcr take door panel off be carefull of the wires then take that little cap of that hides the screws i think theres 3 in there and unplug the mirror electrics
Well they are off now, not too bad over all (once I figured out how to get the door card off). The bolt that held the mirror on was a big old torx screw - only had a mini ratchet to hand but got it off. Glad the electrics were so easy.
Will probably put them up for sale now, although I am genuinely tempted to see if I could somehow bodge the motors into a different mirror unit...
Was also tempted to strip the whole car down while I was there - pulled the window motors off, part of the centre console and the climate control unit before I decided the garage/insurance co/girlfriend might not be very impressed if I took the whole centre console, so grabbed the tool kit and cupholder and left it at that
