The ones I bought are electric power fold and heated. Will this be as simple as connecting to the existing plug?

Yep,same as mine :)

Mine has electric folding as std, easy enough, door card off & pull inner mirror mounting cover off,be careful not to snap the clip, unplug mirror wiring, take padding out to reveal big torx bolt that holds mirror on

The mirror functions are driven from the door control unit, which is embedded in the window winding motor.

If your car originally had electric fold and heating, the door control unit will have the connections for it. If not, you will need a replacement window motor with the appropriate module and connections.

It has electric fold but don't think it has the heated feature

When you say embedded on the window winding motor would I be right in thinking its behind the metal panels that I've just sealed?!

Easy to see if your mirror are heated or not, just pop the mirror out of casing, should have 2 wires or press demister button & see if they get warm

No, the winder motor is on the inside of those panels i.e. the cabin side. The control unit is inside the block that the multipole connector plugs in to, and the mirror connector is part of the door wiring loom connected to this.

Well it was frosty this morning the one working power folding mirror didn't heat so I guess my cupra had leathers, sat nav but no heated mirrors from the factory :-(

all electric mirrors are heated aren't they? certainly all power folding electric mirrors are heated but some people buy standard glass when they get broken as the heated ones are twice the price.
