I think basically it means that the mirrors can fold up electrically when parked.....

Seat being a bit mis-leading with this description!

In my LeonFR 2.0 TDI
assuming it is the folding up of the wingmirrors, there a 2 ways to fold them,

1, turn the mirror adjustment knob into the folded position, they fold up, but your manually having to fold them down again when ready.

2, and my favorite method, press and hold the lock button on the keyfob when exiting the car, all windows will do up if open and the mirrors fold in, then when you next enter the car and turn the ignition on, the mirrors will fold back down again.

If the keyfob method dosent work, i think someone round here got the dealer to make a ecu change to enable it, as long as your mirrors are motorised im sure they can amend ecu. thers a thread round here somewhere about it.

I know on the latest golf you can pay for an extra so the n/s mirror dips down to view the the pavement as you reverse. Its basically its the same car so has any had their car modified, or can it be. Might save on the alloys.

I would really find that feature useful, as I do sometimes dip them myself when reversing.

It might be the feature where you dip the right mirror and the left one goes down to.

Yer know, they didn't have this feature on my old Mk2 Sport...... when I was pissing around with my mirrors in my new FR, I thought I was going mad cos I'd adjust the left, then look at the right to adjust it, only to find the left had dipped even more......

Electrically assisted mirrors for parking (when they dip if you put it into reverse) would be a God-send!! I aways dip the passenger side mirrors myself!

BTW, didn't know about the key-fob feature..... is that common in a FR?!?
I would try it but it's pissing down with rain outside..... :)

Found the item on the vw webb site and only £110 as part of a package.

"Luxury pack 1 - Electrically foldable door mirrors including reverse activated kerb view adjustment on passenger door mirror"

So its only a play with the ECU ????

also, if the car is locked up you can press unlock, but have to hold the button, and you can open all windows, until they are at the bottom or release the button, very handy on the very rare day its sunny, so you can just air the car a little before you get in it.

Also a little off topic, but press and hold the auto button on climate to change dualzone to monozone, and use drivers side to control both zones parallel

Very handy for ppl that dont like having different temps on both sides
