Hi All,
Long time no post, but now I need you again lol. I've used the search, found loads of electric window threads, but none specific to this problem.
My front passenger window has stopped working. Well, it has and it hasn't. When I press either the drivers' side or passenger side switch there's an audible click, but no whirring of motor or mangled cables etc...
I've had the door card off, the regulator seems to be working fine as I can move the window up and down manually. About once in every thirty or so presses the window actually moves. I also took off the motor piece and tried the motor away from the door, still intermittent. Gave the cogs and spindle etc... a good clean and grease, nothing.
Is it more likely to be a dodgy connection in the motor somewhere do you think? Or perhaps 2 knackered switches? Mixture of both?
The fact there is a click tells me power is being sent from the switch to the motor, is that right?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Mart.
