thats not a good start, it will be the window regulator, common fault im afraid.

If you can, take the door card off, and check the voltage with a multimeter and see if there is any voltage reaching the motor, could be a duff switch

nope, dont be put off, ive never had the problem. But many on here have.

Maybe have a look on ebay for a window regulator.

its really easy to fix, i did it wit my rover. took me 30 mins to do
in fact i took it out, repaired the old one, and sold it after, aslong as the arm isnt broken its ok to repair. and u can get the actual arms for less i imagine, just look around!!

Ill be doing mine saturday. Dont think they cost £200 though, I belive martyn replace d his and cost £90 from the dealer

I know that the window regs are a common problem but with them , dont the windows usually drop?
That is what I have known :confused:
But could it be a switch instead?
