car has stated developing a couple of not too attractive habits! When I’m driving along the interior light comes on, sometimes it fades off again, and sometimes it just stays on! Also it keeps trying to unlock itself when I’m driving along! Anyone know of any hotspots to check for damp/shitty wires/switches???

Mine does the light thing... open the door and close it and it stops doing it... must be the door switch... not checked yet.

Might be worth checking if your ECU is damp.

yeah sounds like a dodgy switch on one of the doors, however it trying to unlock itself....maybe a dud switch on the drivers door?? Could be the door switch and lock switch gone together, could be damaged wiring between the door and the body of the car?

I had the same symptoms, turned out to be water in my drivers window regulator, dried it out with some carb cleaner and it was fine after that.

Cheers for that people, got to wait for it to stop raining as drying stuff out in the rain isn’t advisable, so I’m told!
