Electrical issues

I have the following issues and i believe they are somehow all linked
Auto on light switch when selected flickers constantly
Interior lights flicker (intermitant)
Rear window demister icon and button flash and demister will not work
And very occasionally the battery light will flash (as in blink and you will miss it type flash) with audible chime
The battery has been changed ( thought it was this as alarm started going off randomly and was getting slugish to start...stopped since battery change) and alternator regulator changed..both voltage from battery and alternator are fine 12.5v and 14.5 respectively
Issue still continues even though theese have been changed
Can anyone help on where to look next.would like to solve it before it gets worse

Has it been scanned on VCDS?

Vcds is that vagcom?? If so i dont have access to it

Yeah it's the same thing.

Sure there would be a local member that could scan it for you. This should answer all your questions.

I got a cheap copy off eBay for £45 and it's very handy.

Had a similar issue although not on a seat, went through all the bits you did, in the end I tracked it down, was simply high resistance on the battery to body earth lead, new lead and all the issues went away

How did you test the lead

Just measured the earth lead at either end with a multi meter, mine was showing very high resistance on the multimeter and if I flexed the lead you could see the resistance increase/decrease.
