I'm new to this so please bear with me!
I have recently privately bought a 2011 Ibiza FR 1.4 TSI (61,000).
A few days ago the EML came on, so I Tok it for diagnostics, the results were:
7676 Oxygen sensor B1 S1
4054 Cylinder 1 misfire
4060 Cylinder 3 misfire
4063 Cylinder 4 misfire
4051 Random/multiple misfire detected
4270 Turbocharger bypass valve control circuit (malfunction/open circuit)
I took it to a local garage (mate of a mate) who advised that the first port of call would be to change the coils. I changed cylinders 1/3/4 coils as they still had the VW originals (I found out cylinder 2 coil had been changed a few months ago).
We reset the fault codes however the EML came on a short while later and now appears to 'flash' for short periods of time when I put my foot down and when I feel the turbo kick in I also feel a few shudders like misfires/power issues.
I have researched and found out the previous owner also had the "turbo charger / pressure valve changed last year". Could it be this especially with it showing the 4270 code?
I can get it rediagnosed however its already costing me a fair bit so I'd rather try and get to the root of the problem before spending on new parts (spark plugs, lambda sensor etc.)
I'm pretty worried that the engine is dying, and really want to get it sorted as its my first semi-high performance car!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
