So looking below at your car data, it would show that index is "0A" therefore you need the following part number:

6Q0-909-605-A 0A

I managed to find one of these boxed for £35 inc p+p on Ebay.de so maybe try there.



You have a lot of codes there. Unfortunetely you have a 65535 error code. This is because of this:

You can fix it by removing the airbag ECU and sending it away to a company that can reset your airbag ECU. The code was caused from your ebay cable and the free software that comes with it. I fell at the same hurdle! For some reason the cable gives the same error code as you would get if you crashed.

You also need to replace both airbag crash sensors, they are located under the front seats so they will have to come out. The carpet also has to come out for this job.

Your low voltage and seatbelt tensioner I am not sure about. I think I got the same codes once I had removed the seat and checked for codes (with the seat still out).

YOU CANNOT CLEAR ANY ERROR CODES WHILE THE 65535 CODE IS ON YOUR ECU. YOU HAVE TO EITHER SEND IT AWAY TO A SPECIALIST (ROUGHLY £40) OR BUY A NEW MODULE FROM THE DEALER (£LOADS)

If you cant find the contol unit with the same index can you change the crash sensors to match it?

Thanks all. The car has now been traded in for pretty much scrap value. Decided it not worthwhile to keep her running with the airbag issue in mind, plus 215k on the clock!

Picked up a 2009 Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCI which will work better with my approximate 20k mileage a year!
